I saw this on the the CBS late night/early morning TV news show, Up to the Minute.

That's not a stupid chicken...it's a pretty smart chicken. It's bumming a ride to get across the road!

Yes, those are shoes. ....and there was a sunshade blocking the entire windshield, which we saw as we drove away...

As far as the shoes over the powerline. That's gotta be in chapter 1 of the Big Book of Adolescent Torment. No physical harm, yet, there are your shoes clearly in site with no way to get them. (I never did this to anyone, as I was usually the tormentee not the tormentor)

Are those shoes? I saw a pair of shoes strung by the laces over a power line today. Not sure how they got up there.

war policy
employment (or loss of thereof, as the case may be)
Federal budget
environmental issues
energy planning
etc...
